Fundamental Rights – Constitution of India

The Constitution of India guarantees the following Fundamental Rights which are enforceable for the welfare of women.
Article 14 confers men and women equal rights and opportunities in the political, economic and social spheres.
Article 15 prohibits discrimination against any citizen, among others, on the grounds of sex.
Article 15(A) (e) imposes a fundamental duty on every citizen to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women.
Article 16 provides for equality of opportunities in matters of public appointments for all citizens.
