The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya scheme:It was launched in 2004 is designed to encourage greater participation of girls in education at upper primary level.Under the scheme 1180 residential schools at upper primary level has been sanctioned for girls belonging predominantly to SC/ST/OBC and minority communities in educationally backward blocks with higher gender gaps and low female literacy.

  5. Kishora Balika Pathakam: It is being implemented in Andhra Pradesh to engineer change in social attitudes, self-esteem and ensure capabilities. 100% enrolment in elementary education especially for girls and to discourage early marriage.

  6. Bala Streela Sikshana Kendra: It is a residential vocational training centre offers courses to mould adolescent girls as entrepreneurs.
