Lesson 11 :TYPES AND REQUIREMENTOFLIGHTING

Halls

Halls require some overall lighting, which can come from ceiling or wall fixtures that send glare- free light down ward. The fixtures can also be near the floor.

Stairways are hazardous. Accidents are lessened if the light clearly differentiates the treads from the risers. Ceiling or wall fixtures that send even, glare-free light downward do this well. Spotty or distracting lighting is dangerous.
