Special Needs Of Aged And Physically Handicapped

In order to create environment and condition of work suitable for those who are aged and physically handicapped, certain basic specifications are recommended in the buildings such as: Space to cater for wheel chair turning, distance between crutch tips, acoustical insulation, audible loud speaking system, avoidance of glare, provision for ventilation, non-slip floors and ramps, minimum clear width of the doors and doorways, placement and setting of door closers, easy door handles and locks, lifts, width and riser of steps etc.
