Practical 10: PREPARATION OF FIELD FOR SOWING/PLANTING |
| AIM: Vegetable crops are short duration in nature. The field operations are specific and time bound. In order to raise a healthy and disease free crop, one has to be very specific regarding preparation of field well in time so that the sowing/transplanting operations are performed. Many field operations like soil preparation, drainage, ploughing, disking, harrowing, dragging and rolling etc. are to be performed well in time so that the seeds are sown well in time. The present chapter will make the students familiar regarding various field operations like soil preparation, ploughing, disking, harrowing, dragging and rolling etc.so that field is prepared satisfactorily.
