• Selection of a sampling method depends upon the nature, scope, number of units available in a population, financial resources and the investigator.
• Also another factor determining our choice is the amount of accuracy and refinement desired.
• Therefore, the choice of method in selection of a sample must be made with utmost care. Sampling methods may be classified into two generic types.
