Advantages

• Interview technique is very useful when livestock owners will be ready to talk but not to write about some delicate / confidential matters.
• Doubts can be cleared.
• Cross questioning is possible.
• Possible to go in depth of the problem particularly in ascertaining the reasons for the behaviour and feelings of respondents.
• Possible to get answers to all the questions.
• Probability of getting real and correct information is more.

Limitations

• Takes lot of time.
• Costs effort and money.
• Investigator should be sincere because, accuracy depends upon his ability.
• Chance of investigators bias.
