  • Careful in using double negatives.
  • Inadequate alternatives should be avoided.
  • Double-barreled questions should be avoided.
  • Important words should be underlined.
  • Unwarranted assumptions should be avoided.
  • Questions should mean the same for any respondent.
  • Question should be designed in such a way that will get complete response.
  • Enough provision should be made for quantification of responses.
