FACIAL NERVE PARALYSIS

• The facial nerve, supplies motor fibers to muscles of the face.
• Facial paralysis mostly affects motor function and except for taste, there is no loss of sensation from the skin and mucous membranes.
• Chronic paralysis leads to facial muscle atrophy.
