POSITION

• The position indicate the relationship of  the dorsum of the fetus in longitudinal presentations, or the head in transverse presentation to the quadrants of the maternal pelvis.
• The quadrants of the maternal pelvis are sacrum, the right ilium, the left ilium and the pubis. Example: Dorso pubic
