ASSUMPTIONS

• Cost of a ram is taken at Rs.1800 and cost of an ewe is taken at Rs.1500
  • Cost of construction of a kutcha pen is taken at Rs. 7000 and equipment worth of Rs.700 will be bought.
  • Depreciation of building and equipment is taken at 20% per annum
  • Animals will be insured at a premium rate of 6% of value of animals.
  • As animals will be reared under extensive system, veterinary charges alone are accounted. The family
    •  Labour (Male/Female) will be employed.
    • Veterinary charges are taken at Rs.75 / animal / year.
  • In total 48 lambs will be obtained (16 lambs in each lambing, lambs will be sold at Rs.1000/lamb (8 months of age)
