Propagated epidemic disease investigation

PROPAGATED EPIDEMIC DISEASE INVESTIGATION 

  • An epidemic caused by an infectious agent in which initial ( primary ) cases excrete agents and thus infect susceptible individuals, which constitute secondary cases.
  • Spread is through serial transfer from one host to another host.
  • Example: Spreading of chicken pox over a protracted period of time.
