Unit 12 - Management of ponds
The following are the purpose of aeration.
- To enrich pond water with oxygen
- To remove hydrogen sulphide
- To nullify the activity of harmful bacteria
- To remove carbon dioxide
- Decomposition of organic matter which may other wise lead to bad smell.
