Peninsular Rivers

The main peninsular river system includes the rivers, the Mahanadi, the Godavari, the Krishna and the Cauveri on the east coast and the Narmada and the Tapti on the west coast. The Peninsular rivers flow through shallow valleys. A large number of them are seasonal as their flow is dependent on rainfall.
