Peritonitis

PERITONITIS

  • Inflammation of the peritoneum is accompanied by abdominal fever, toxaemia and reduction in the amount of feces.

Etiology

  • Peritonitis occur as a primary disease or secondarily as part of an etiologically specific disease.
  • Primary disease – it results most commonly from injury of the serosal surfaces of the alimentary tract within the abdomen.
