FROZEN SEMEN STORAGE AREA

• The semen after freezing should be kept for one month in quarantine before dispatch.

The frozen semen straws are stored in cryogenic container for a period of one month called as quarantine period. After one month, the post thaw motility is checked and the straws with 50% post thaw motility are dispatched to the field.

• There should be a separate room to all the products of the lab.
• There should be a liquid nitrogen plant or should be purchased from outside for regular topping of liquid nitrogen during quarantine period
