Store for feed and fodders

STORE FOR FEED AND FODDERS

  • Avoid wastage of feed from spoiling due to rats, moisture and pests.
  • Store sufficient feed for lean season.
  • The bull paddocks should have store for feed and fodder.
  • Even though there is regular supply of feed and fodder, store will help during emergency.
  • The floor of the store should be free from moisture to avoid destruction of feed/fodder due to water/moisture.
  • The concentrate feed should be kept over the wooden flanks al least 6” above the floor to save it from the floor moisture.
  • The rats and bandicoots should be prevented from entry to store room.
