Identification of a slow learner

An Educational Assessment gives a detailed description of the child in school setting and information about:

  • The child’s level of attainment in the basic subjects interms of what he can do , what his special difficulties appear to be and what steps have already been tried
  • The child’s level of language development and speech
  • Standards of achievement in other areas
  • Emotional and social behaviour both in and out of the class room
  • Interest in and attitudes towards school
  • Previous school history
  • The child’s interest and background
  • Degree of parental cooperation
