Experiences from concrete to abstract

Further, for each concept experiences should be sequenced from concrete to abstract, but all these experiences need to be introduced initially on the basis of familiar experiences known to the children, then move on towards the unfamiliar for instance, as shown below like

  • Experiences related to child’s own body
  • Experiences with objects in the environment
  • Experiences with pictures of objects/events
  • Experiences with symbolic/graphic representations
