Introduction

Playtime is one of the most fundamental parts of childhood development. Children play in a variety of ways with a number of different toys. Each activity has a different affect on development. Toys and other objects are important extensions of a young child.

Children have played with toys throughout history and in all cultures. So developmental toys promote children's well-being. Toys have main role in children's play with one another and help them to develop socially. Toys are vital tools that help foster the mental, physical, emotional and social development of boys and girls. Toys are basic instruments for the development of children's fantasy, thoughts and creativity. Outdoor baby toys support the right to play in childhood which is essential to healthy child development. Children gain a strong foundation for learning through play. Playtime is fun. Young children love to explore and discover new things about the world around them and about themselves. Toys need not be costly, instead they should be age appropriate, safe and little challenging to young children. Such toys could be household objects or some play materials developed out of the waste materials or low cost materials found in household.

Aim: To provide an opportunity to the students to familiarize on the latest stimulation toys available in the market

Objectives:
  1. To create awareness on variety of existing stimulation material available in the market
  2. To develop the skill of observation and recording the material
