Objectives of Institutional Care

The main aim of institutional care should be:

1. Provision of concrete services to give the children satisfying experience at every stage of their growth and development and to reinforce these experiences by programmes to be operated by suitably trained and well-oriented personnel
2. To provide for physical, mental! cultural and emotional development and social and emotional reorientation, where necessary
3. To give a feeling of a good 'substitute home' to the beneficiaries
