The paradoxes of human beings(Concept)
It is sometimes easy for us to be warm and friendly towards total strangers and harsh towards someone we love deeply.
We complain loudly about those matters in life that hurt us, but remain silent and thankless about those things that please us.
We are quick to spot and criticize a minor flaw in someone else, but remain blind to our own faults.
We can easily state what we are against, but have considerable trouble specifying what we stand for.
We can see where we are, but we are not certain how we got there.
We can say where we want to go, but have many problems in starting to move towards that goal.
We can tell people our names but have trouble on questions about our identities
We can explain what we do, but cannot explain who we are.
Knowing ourselves completely is probably not possible, but knowing ourselves better is possible. Each one of us is faced with these questions that must be addressed and aroused to find out the meaning and direction of our life.
Who am I?
Where am I going?
What route shall I take?
These questions encompass “the sense of self” in a person.
