Characteristics of People with Visual Impairment

1. The blind generally use their other senses i.e. Hearing, memory, smell with great efficiency than most of the normal people.
2. They are comfortable is familiar spaces and they prefer compact and simple spaces
3. For the visually impaired, their hands, walking stick, guide dogs do the functions in place of sight
4. They prefer organized and simpler interiors for they always keep things organized and in designated spaces for ease of recollection
5. They take help of keeping mental/ physical check points and remember places by textures, odours and hearing
6. The sense of hearing help them in defining volume & gauging distances
