Introduction

Supply chain management is an essential aspect of business today. The idea is to apply a total systems approach to managing the entire flow of information, materials and services from raw materials supplies through factories and warehouses to the end customers.

An increasingly popular perspective today is to view the flow of materials from suppliers all the way of customers as a system to be managed. This perspective is commonly called as Supply chain Mangement

A supply chain refers to the way that materials flow through different organizations, studying with raw materials and ending with finished products delivered to the ultimate consumer. A supply chain is a sequence of suppliers, warehouses, operators and retail outlets.
