The TV news reporter must get the facts on each story assigned to him. And should also be able to shoot news film besides reporting the story. The specific duties of a staff reporter include-

1. Gathering and reporting local and area-specific news .and features,
2. Writing and editing news,
3. Presenting news on the air, conducting interviews etc.
