After the intro the next step is to write the story. Once given the main point of the story in the first paragraph, the remainder of the story should fall into place in a natural sequence. It is as if the reporter has taken the reader by his hand and led him step by step to the finale.
The accepted method of telling the story falls in what is called the “inverted pyramid” pattern. First comes the intro, then facts to back the intro, then possibly a quote, then the background to the intro followed by more facts. The shape of the story would be an inverted pyramid.
