Identification of spawn:
● It is very difficult to distinguish major carp spawn from that of medium carps.
● However, the length of yolk-sac could be used as a key to identify them.
● The length of yolk-sac of major carp spawn is more than 5mm when yolk sac is completely absorbed
● The length of yolk-sac of medium and minor carp spawn is less than 5mm when yolk sac is completely absorbed
