11.3.Product quality feeds

These are feeds which are used to increase the market quality of the product. These feeds are administered when the fish crop is nearing its harvesting to enhance the consumer acceptability of the final product. An example of this is carotenoid supplementation for some species to enhance flesh color. Product quality feeds are used mostly in respect of high value species.
