Field studies on impact of extension programmes

Field studies on impact of extension programmes

Many extension programmes are implemented by both the central and state government for the development of fisherfolk. Participation of people in extension programmes depend on the impacts these programmes cause on the target groups. Programmes developed in the appropriate manner with the participation of the people will produce the expected impacts in the field. Such impacts will have a larger bearing on participation of people in the development programmes in future. The students may be asked to conduct impact studies on the recently implemented fisheries development programmes. This exercise will enable the students to learn the possible impacts of the development programmes and to know how far the programme is relevant to the local condition.
