15.1.1 Important marine ornamental fishes

Family : Pomacentridae

      1. Damesl : Dascyllus trimaculatus (Three spot Damsel)

      They lay eggs on rocks or pots.

      2. Clown or Anemone fish – Amphiprion sp. (A. clarkia)

Family : Pomacanthidae

      1. Marine Angel : Pomocanthus sp. and Centropyge sp.

      Angel has spine on the gill cover.

Family : Chaetodontidae

     1. Butterfly fish : Chaetodon sp. It has long shout to feed in the    corals.

Family : Acanthuridae

     1. Surgeon – Acanthurus sp.

      2. Tang – Zebrasoma flavescens (yellow tang)
