8.6.Purse ring
It is an essential part of the purse seine net. Different types and shapes of rings are in use. Purse rings are made of bronze, stainless steel or galvanized iron. The rings are attached to the sinkers line of the net through the V shaped bridles. The pursing cable pass through the rings and the bottom of the net is closed by pulling the cable.
