Paloheimo (1961) method :
A plot of monthly CUPE against the respective months for a fishery prosecuted nearly all through the year may take the shape of a near normal curve, with the ascending phase including the peak falling in one half of the year and the descending phase in the other half. From this data, CUPE is derived separately for the descending phase (c/f)2 and ascending phase, (c/f)1, and Z estimated using the expression.
