Introduction

Ricker’s catch curve method is usually referred as Length Converted Catch Curve (or) Linearized Length Converted Catch Curve. Inclusion of fish whose size is close to L$$\infty$$ need to be avoided. Similarly the initial length group which are not under full exploitation need not be used,

The equation is,

Log $$e_N$$ = a+bt. This equation can be rewritten as

Log $$e_{{N/ }\Delta t}$$ = a+bt

Where, $$\Delta t$$  is time needed to grow from T1 (lower) to T2, (upper) limit of given class; t = relative age, corresponding to mid range of the length class in equation.
