DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

Diagnosis

  • Faecal examination.
  • Sometimes the larvae can be seen in sputum or nasal discharge.

Treatment

  • Diethylcarbamazine (DEC) - 22 mg /day - for days.
  • Methyridine - 200 mg / Kg b wt. - s/c.
  • Tetramisole - 15 mg / Kg b wt.
  • Levamisole - 7.5 mg / Kg b wt. – s/c.
