Decide on the theme on which the slides have to be prepared.

Decide on the item on which the photographic shots have to be taken.

On the basis of availability of materials decide on the time of taking the shots.

Make a written programme of taking the shots.

Use good quality 35 mm camera and good quality positive colour film. Take shots on what is to be communicated to the audience.

Take photographs in a way which shall produce brilliant pictures.

Get the film processed in a good photographic studio.

Select the best and significant shots and make slides out of them. The slides should be 2"x2" or 2 1/2 "x 3 1/2' sze.
- Projection of slide

Select slide appropriate to the extension programme. It will be convenient to use a slide viewer for this purpose.

Arrange slides in proper sequence, load it in the slide carrier in an upside down position in a reversed manner and preview them.

Rehearse the talk with the slides.

Check operation of slide projector, availability of screen or white wall, electricity, seating, and arrangements for making the room dark.

Keep all arrangements for projection of slide ready.

Introduce the topic and explain briefly about the major points.

Announce about the projection of slides, darken the room and put on the slide projector.

Project the slides one by one and explain them to the audience.

Emphasize on important points by using a pointer.

After the presentation of slides, put on the light and make the concluding statement.

Invite questions from the audience and answer them.

Take 25% of the time for introducing the topic and explaining the main points, 50% of the time for projecting slides and delivering talk and the rest 25% of time for concluding and question and answer session.
