Wobble hypothesis

WOBBLE SYNTHESIS

  • The wobble hypothesis which states that the pairing between codon and anticodon at the first two codon at the two codon position always follows the usual rule but that exceptional wobble occur at the third position. tRNAs can recognise either one, two or three codons excluding stop codons depending on their wobble base (the 5' anticodon base).
