COURSE STRUCTURE

VGO 511 - VETERINARY ANDROLOGY AND REPRODUCTIVE TECHNIQUES (1+1), is a course for undergraduate degree program consisting of both theory and practical . In this course, attempts have been made to collect and present the materials on each and every aspect of andrology and semenology. The theory part is designed and constructed in such a way covering all aspects of male reproductive physiology, semen production, male reproductive disorders and details of artificial insemination starting from history to recent developments. The practical session is formulated to explain the procedure for conducting various tests in a simple and easy way and information about the semen evaluation based on the test results is given in detail. Also explained the steps in the process of semen collection to freezing in a detailed and understandable way.

In overall, 17 chapters on theory and 16 sessions on practical are sequentially arranged to guide the undergraduate students through each stage in a logical manner. Accordingly,

  • The quiz added at the end of each session comprised of multiple choice questions (MCQ), and true or false type questions. Apart from this, a question bank on short answers, short notes and essay type questions is added at the end of the course.

To explain the course in a better way at undergraduate level, the contents are added with images in the form of photos, drawings, videos and animations. These visuals are added in both theory and practical in the content itself. The student can click over the visuals where ever they are provided and can understand the subject.
