Cultivated Germplasm

Cultivated and Wild Germplasm

    Cultivated Germplasm
  • The cultivated germplasm can be used in three main ways:
    • As a variety.
    • As a parent in the hybridization.
    • As a variant in the gene pool.
    Wild Germplasm
  • The wild germplasm is used to transfer resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, wider adaptability and sometimes quality such as fiber strength in cotton.
