Sexing

SEXING

  • Oophiprobe is used for sexing. The snake is kept on its back and carefully restrain the snake without getting bitten. Insert the oophiprobe and if it passes to more distance (at least 9-15 sub caudals), it is a male and if it passes only to a shorter distance (not more than 1-3 sub-caudals), it is female.
  • Male snakes tend to have a longer tail than the female snake.
