Etiology

Uterine torsion is a complication of late of first stage or early second stage of labour.
- It is due to the instability of the bovine uterus caused due to the peculiar anatomical arrangement.

Due to inordinated fetal movement, which is a component of the postural adjustment that, occur during the first stage of labour.

A lack of tone of the pregnant uterus – a condition composed of a lack of fluids, flaccid uterine walls, the small non-gravid horn, a long flaccid mesometrium favours uterine torsion.
