Mulching and Pinching

Mulching
Dry grass clipping, old hay and saw dust are used for the purpose.
Black polythene is very effective mulch.

Pinching
Should be done as soon as 2-3 pairs of leaves appear.
Pinched off at 15 cm tall – flowering delay 15 days
Pinching at node 4 gave the best result.
Pinching at node 2 delayed blooming and produced lowest number of flowers.
