18.3.1.Feeding Tables
Feeding charts were first developed as guides to the daily feeding requirements of finfish and shellfishes. The daily feeding rations given in these tables were calculated from estimates of biomass, food conversion and expected growth. Tabulated feeding levels for various species have been progressively modified in line with the improvements which have been made in feeds and feeding methods and tables are now available for most species of intensively farmed fish and shrimp. They are commonly supplied by feed manufacturing companies and give values for daily food rations, expressed as percentage value of the total weight or biomass of fish to be fed daily.
The following table gives the recommended crumble/pellet sizes for fish feeds
