10.4.Disadvantages of preservation
  • High degree of preservation can only be obtained for cotton
  • Number of treatments are required causes high cost, time and labour
  • Preservation may have side effects on the physical properties such as stiffness, flexibility, extensibility, elasticity and breaking strength.
