Course overview

• The world has entered the second decade of 21st century. We all have experienced the joyful decade 2001 to 2010. The Indian economy sustained against all odds. Good monsoon supported the cultivars and farmers for better crop yields. The industrial production is also looking better placed. The Indian consumer is getting exposures to variety of goods. But the condition on the environment remains questionable. Keeping in view of the concern about the environment, this course has been prepared to provide the undergraduate students a basic knowledge about the environment.
• The course contents are developed to bring awareness about the functioning of the environment. It goes with the brief introduction about the scope and importance of environmental studies, components of environment, structure and spheres of earth, biogeochemical cycles, natural resources, different types of pollution, environmental deeds, population growth and more related topics to environmental science.
