    Nematode: Pratylenchus coffeae
    Symptoms
    • Affected young plants are lean and lanky.
    • Older leaves become yellow and drop, leaving very few undersized, chlorotic and crinkled leaves at the tip of the stem giving a 'tufted' appearance.
    • Infected bearing plants show thinner stem and inadequate foliage to support the crop.
    Control
    • In nursery, dig and expose the soil for one summer and use thoroughly dried forest soil while preparing nursery mixture.
    • Uproot and burn the infected plants, remove soil and expose for one year.
    • Keep the pits free from weeds- Plant, grafted plants of Arabica on Robusta rootstock in the infected area.
