Eating disorders

Psycho physiological disorders in eating pattern can lead to extreme eating patterns which in turn lead to extreme underweight called anorexia nervosa and overweight obesity.

Anorexia nervosa occurs much more frequently in females than males. The causes of this disorder are not certain but the role of psychological factors is suggested by circumstances that relate to the onset. Some children who feel ignored by their parents may find that, by reducing their food intake they can receive parental concern and caring. The treatment of anorexia nervosa typically requires medical care sometimes even intra venous feeding.
