The physical and psychological characteristics of adolescents and the nature of developmental tasks which they are expected to perform often pose certain challenges and problems for adjustment. Basically adolescents face problems related to their home, school and society. They are as follows:

The more serious problems include drug addiction, alchoholism, smoking, truancy, sexual obsessions, etc. They may not appear in everybody.
