Clinical Symptoms

The common clinical symptom is a chronic, bloody diarrhea. Ulceration of the mucous membranes of the intestines leads to problems such as anorexia, edema, anemia, negative nitrogen balance; electrolyte disturbances etc. Weight loss is common.
