Environmental Indicators

Environmental Indicators include physical and biological environment in which the people live, as the quality of the environment affects the health and occurrence of disease. This includes pollution of air and water, radiation, solid waste, noise, exposure to toxic substance in food or drink. Among these most important is safe drinking water and sanitation higher the proportion of population having access to safe water and sanitation, lower is the incidence of disease.
