1. Anti-adult Measure – Chemical Control
Residual sprays:
The insecticide is sprayed in houses (indoor) where the mosquito rests on the wall.
DDT is the most commonly used insecticide 1-2 grams per sq. applied for 1-3 times in year.
In areas where the insecticide is resistant to DDT; malathion, propoxur(OMS-33) and to a lesser extent gamma-HCH (lindane) are used
